YINYASA FLOW WITH GUSSIE GOULD
WEDNESDAYS, 7.15PM, BY DONATION
Gussie has recently completed 200-hours YTT in India, after studying philosophy at Otago University and working at Green Superfood & Juicebar. Join her for one hour of stretching and strengthening vinyasa flow. Vinyasa means, “connection of movement and breath,” as it is a dynamic sequence of breath-synchronized poses to calm the mind. It’s a chance to leave everything outside and turn your attention inwards. If you have a body then you can practice yoga, no prior experience is necessary. Yoga is a process of constant transformation.
DYNAMIC HATHA WITH LANLIE
SUNDAYS, 9.30AM $12
Having recently completed her 200 hour YTT in Indonesia at The Practice Bali, Lanlie brings knowledge from the roots of the yoga tradition passed over thousands of years from teacher to student. A strong believer in living yoga ‘on and off the mat’, Lanlie uses ‘on the mat’ practice to bring love and light to everyday life.
Hatha classes will alternate between moon hatha and sun hatha based off the yoga tradition. Each class is themed appropriately to cultivate different energetic qualities.
Donna has been practicing yoga for over 11 years now and it was initially the desire for a strong supple body that drew her to this ancient practice. But it was after going through a particularly difficult period in her life that she experienced first hand the profound effect that yoga can also have on one's mind and soul. She completed her teacher training at the Byron Yoga Centre in Byron Bay, Australia in September 2015. Donna brings her passion for life to her teaching and is dedicated to helping her students discover the immense benefits of a regular yoga practice.
With a focus on correct alignment, this class is also seeking to flow with the breath from one pose to another through choreographed transitions. It’s designed to get the blood pumping and challenge you. Classes are tailored to suit all levels and each class has a different theme. Donna is rather fond of being upside down and will be incorporating arm balances, headstands and handstands into the class when appropriate! Pranayama breath control and meditation also integrated into the class.
