Tish is on her own yoga journey and has completed her multi-style teacher training at Green Yoga India in Goa. Going back to her roots and bringing intention to her practices, she hopes that every student can also take their own intention off the mat into everyday life. Yoga is a lifestyle, being present and able to clear the mind, connecting body and breath.
Playful vinyasa class to build mental and physical strength, alignment and flexibility. Classes are $10 and have different themes suiting all levels.
This yin class is a great opportunity to completely relax, bringing intention to your practice, and individually opening up to the magic that surrounds you in Ivy Studio.

After years of learning the strength of the mind, body & heart through personal practice, Nirmala surrendered to yoga. In 2013 she travelled to India where she completed her 200YTT in Raja Dhiraja Yoga and Meditation graduating from the Himalayan Yoga Institute.
Restore by Candlelight, Tuesdays 7.15pm
Ground down to soar up. A gentle restorative fusion of yin and yoga to ground you for the week ahead. Classes focus on breath and gentle movement to welcome space into the mind and body. A soothing, calming environment for yogis of all levels to soften, surrender and let go.
Breath & Control, Saturdays 9.45am
A revitalizing unison of breath and body consciousness. Fusing teachings of raja dhiraja, hatha, vinyasa and ashtanga yoga for a dynamic, strong, mindful and gracefully paced class. Evening classes are candlelit; Saturday morning classes are followed with a coffee or smoothie in the eatery below. The invitation is always open.

Tania has been teaching Vinyasa Flow and Yin yoga full time for 7 years having completed the 1 yr diploma at Wellpark College with Dr Pooja and Sridhar Maddela in 2010. She has been practising yoga for 20 yrs after falling head over heels in love with Vinyasa Flow having come from a dance background. She focuses on building the bridge between body and mind with the breath to transition to the metaphysical and the energetics of the system, while also cueing alignment needs, making adjustments and giving assistance where appropriate. The more she practices and teaches the more she realises that yoga is reliant on strength more than flexibility so prepare to get your heat on, and acceptance more than anything, urging you to not get caught up in dramas as you're likely to miss the experience. Yoga helps her to be present, accept life's challenges and be open to change. All classes are aimed at restoring body and mind and are suitable for beginners to advanced.

It was approximately 15 years ago I was first introduced to Yoga and is something I haven’t ventured far from. In February 2017 I graduated from the Hatha Yoga teacher training with the Auckland Yoga Academy and am now enjoying sharing my knowledge. I teach a practice which has a strong focus on alignment and safety and aim to provide a supportive and calm environment.
Hatha slow flow
In this practice we use movement to awaken and warm up the body, then move through postures paying attention to technique and alignment. Props are available as necessary to support any limitations in the body.
Hatha (using props)
In this practice we spend time exploring postures using props to align and support the body. A great class for all including complete beginners. Get a deeper understanding of your body and the postures all whilst getting a great stretch out.

Hi! I'm Yulia, a certified yoga teacher from Siberia. Yoga has been a transformative force in my life over the past 7 years. In 2015, I moved to New Zealand to develop my yoga teaching, becoming further inspired by local Kiwi yoga teachers. Recently I completed my RYT-200 level yoga certification in Bali and I’ve returned to share my multi-cultural yoga experience with others. I teach a varied style, from very gentle Hatha flow, to more challenging Vinyasa sequences. My classes are balanced for students of all levels to explore a powerful alignment-based practice, that help develop greater stamina, strength and flexibility. I believe there is always room for continuous improvement and progress. You'll be amazed at how transformative and rewarding yoga can be.

From practicing mainly Jivamucti Yoga in Germany for more than 10 years, I came to Ashtanga when I moved to Auckland in 2015. I was lucky that I was able to study Ashtanga Yoga intensely and truly immerse myself into this traditional practice. Yoga aided me to develop physical and mental strength and a deeper understanding of the overall connection of body, mind and spirit. In 2018 I have completed my 800hours Ashtanga Teacher Training at the Auckland Yoga Academy. I am now certified as a RTY200 by the Yoga Alliance.
Today I practice the Ashtanga Mysore Style on a regular basis while I continuously learn and experience more about the great benefits yoga brings into your daily life. I am pleased to share this practice in my teachings.
My classes are well suitable for beginners and more experienced practitioners.
During class you get led through a continuous series of movements. Adjustments and variations are given throughout class to suit different levels and everyone as needed. Every class finishes with a deep effective relaxation.
Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic, physically demanding practice, synchronizing breath and movement to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body. Ashtanga yoga, with its many vinyasas, is great for building core strength and toning the body.

Mari has always found salvation in movement; from dance, to circus aerial to yoga, physical expression has been an organic part of her life for many years. She completed a 200 hour yoga TTC in India and is driven by a profound passion to help and guide others on their yoga journey, amalgamating her love for dance with this beautiful, ancient practice. For Mari, yoga is about the journey towards inner peace through a mindful dance of breath and body, to unite the mind, body and soul as one in effortless and unbounded choreography.

A dynamic, rhythmic flow yoga class complemented by uplifting music. In a safe and supportive environment, this class will help you find your boundless strength and unique physical expression of the movement. Stillness and relaxation form an important part of the practice so that you can leave feeling grounded, strong and tranquil.

Sophia brings a genuine, compassionate, and holistic approach to health coaching, personal training, and teaching. With experience working in the wellness industry for several years with both one on one clients as well as instructing an array of different group fitness classes, this year Sophia has decided to focus on what she is most passionate about; yoga.
During a tough time in 2009, Sophia discovered this practice was an excellent way to clear as well as strengthen both her mind and body. Over the last 8 years she has been dedicated to self practice and self discovery, and this year she traveled to India to gain her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training certification, which transformed her love of yoga into a burning desire to share it with anyone who will listen!
A slow flow of poses and gentle movements to help start the day. You can expect to leave feeling calm and rejuvenated yet with boosted energy for the week ahead. This class is 'beginner-friendly' and 'bump-safe', as Sophia is trained in pre-natal yoga through Bliss Baby.
A yoga class tailored to those who meet on the mat each session. With some yogic beats to accompany any combination of dynamic vinyasa flows, sun salutations, a bit of yang with resporative yin, you are sure to enjoy this hour on the mat amongst the ivy and your breath.
